Airship Solutions

TCOM’s airship platform is a powerful surveillance tool and can be used for intelligence collection. Since airships are typically designed and built for a specific application, our in-house manufacturing means we can build airships of almost any size to meet our customers’ needs. TCOM’s airships are a type of aerostat or aircraft of lighter-than-air construction that can be maneuvered and propelled through the air using rudders and propellers. Unlike aerodynamic aircraft like fixed-wing airplanes and helicopters, which produce lift by moving a wing through the air, aerostatic aircraft use a large cavity with a lift gas to stay aloft.

TCOM Offers Non-Rigid Thermal, Helium Airships

TCOM manufacturers three types of airships including non-rigid thermal helium. During the flight, non-rigid airships maintain their shape by exceeding the air pressure surrounding them. In contrast to the rigid airship, the non-rigid airship has no compartmentalized gas envelope. During the sea level rise, the ballonets (internal flexible cells) are filled with air. By increasing altitude, the lifting gas expands and the air from the ballonets escapes through air valves to maintain hull shape. The process is reversed when returning to sea level. By using auxiliary blowers, they force air into the ballonets.
