Han Phan joined the team more than 27 years ago and has served as TCOM’s Director of Engineering since 2023.

Work History & Experience

Before joining TCOM, Mr. Phan held the position of Senior Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding. During his nine-year tenure there, he was responsible for incorporating advanced composite materials and shock and vibration mitigation designs into nuclear fast attack submarines within the Advanced Technology Department. Mr. Phan has performed many key roles in Engineering with his most notable achievement being the chief engineer for TCOM’s largest and most advanced aerostat system to date.

Education

Mr. Phan received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnique Institute and State University. He also has over 45 credit hours of graduate-level courses in Solid Mechanics from Old Dominion University and Virginia Polytechnique Institute and State University.
