Work History & Experience

Mr. Nelson is the Vice President of Technology and serves as President of Aerostar, a business unit of TCOM. A world leader in the design and manufacture of Aerospace & Defense solutions, the Aerostar Business Unit is committed to rapidly innovating groundbreaking technology to connect, protect, and save lives. From engineering services and mission planning and support to research and design and advanced technical product development, Aerostar offers tailored turnkey solutions for successful operations.

Previously, Mr. Nelson served as Director of Engineering for Raven Aerostar.  Prior to that, he worked at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, where he held roles including Engineering and Development Manager, Landsat 9 Project Manager, Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) Project Manager, LDCM Ground System Manager, and LDCM Chief Engineer.

Education

Mr. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Sioux Falls and a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
